Developing and translating new neuroprotective therapies with novel delivery mechanisms that can be administered by bystanders and first responders within minutes of OHCA.

Furthering translation of therapies developed in the Basic Science Project by preemptively and empirically addressing multiple barriers to the innovative clinical trial methodologies necessary to study OHCA therapies delivered by bystanders and first responders.

Leveraging a learning health system model to optimize timely implementation of proven therapies such as CPR and defibrillation, and then using this platform to determine the feasibility, safety, and sustainability of adding newly developed therapies from the Basic Science and Clinical Science Projects that can be delivered within minutes of OHCA onset by bystanders and first responders with minimal or no training.
